Cupcake has been going to our local ballpark since she was a baby. She loves the game (sometimes), loves the hot dogs, loves the frozen lemonade and most of all……she loves Looie the mascot. Previously her love for Looie has only been from a distance. Today, this day, she wanted to go see him and this is her look of pure joy after hugging Looie for the first time!

Day 91–April Fool’s
But this is no joke! Today we walked across the new bridge that parallels Hoover Dam. I admit, I was quite nervous beforehand, but once I was up there and walking, it was fine. And the view of the dam? WOW!!! I am so happy that I got to experience this with some of my favorite people in the world! Sally, Jim and Jimmy (my sweet husband). What a beautiful view! What a beautiful family!

Day 90 – Spoiled Rotten
One of the things I love, love, love about my mother-in-law, Sally, is how she spoils us when we visit. Their home is so warm and cozy and was truly inviting after our 10 day trip. I honestly feel like I am at a retreat! Because the weather was so mild we were able to eat outside on their deck. Fruit, cheese, a variety of crackers, smoked salmon, dips, hummus, etc. I really could go on and on! Thank you Sally!!! Thank you for taking care of me (and your son)!

Day 89 – What a Way to End a Trip
Today we ended our trip and we ended it in GRAND style. After a late departure from the hotel of 10:00 a.m. we boarded a truck for an adventure to Antelope Slot Canyon. This canyon is located on the Navajo Reservation and you are only guided through the canyon by a Navajo. He was the best! Knowledgeable about the canyon and about photography. This has to be one of my top favorite photographs from the trip. I would LOVE to have an entire day photographing this slot canyon with the ever changing light!

Day 87 – A Surprise Visit
On this day 8 of our 10 day trip, we made a surprise visit to Goodneck State Park. Guess who was the most excited of our little group? Yep. My sweet husband. He was beside himself. I will say, it is a pretty darn amazing place! After a delicious lunch of Navajo Tacos at Gouldings Lodge we had the opportunity to visit Monument Valley. I have heard that they offer photograph trips to Monument Valley. One day, yes, one day I will take this opportunity. The bottom right photo is from the inside of a hogan which a Navajo dwelling.

Day 86 – Arches National Park
It is reported that there are over 2,000 natural sandstone arches in this national park. ALL created by nature! We visited a few. While most of the group headed to Landscape Arch, I took the trail to Pine Tree Arch and Double Arch. For about 30 minutes, I was there alone. Just me. Under this gigantic arch. I tried to photograph it from all angels and on both sides. Every angle was different as the light danced around. I could have stayed there all day.

Day 85 – A Dead Horse and an Arch
This is Dead Horse State Park. It was pretty dry looking, but look at those snow covered mountains in the distance. And the clouds? Just amazing! The bottom right photo, with my sweet husband is Mesa Arch. It’s actually the first natural arch I have seen. Just think….nature carved this. Simply breathtaking!

Day 84–A Reef and a Gulch
It was windy. A very wind day at Capitol Reef National Park. But the wind didn’t overshadow the beauty. I captured one of my favorite shots of the day on the bottom right. Out little group. They were all huddled together listening to our naturalist/geologist, who traveled with us on this trip. The bottom right photo is from Grand Gulch. This dry river bed contained some many different varieties of rocks! It was awesome!

Day 83 – Bryce Canyon
I don’t know if any words can convey my feelings when I first glanced at this marvelous canyon. I had been told there was nothing like it anywhere on this earth. Now, I haven’t been everywhere on this earth, but I would have to say, I haven’t seen anything like this wonder.
The beautiful snow blanket on enhanced her beauty. I could have stayed for hours or even days. Glorious!
